Hi, I am new here My name is Brian. Currently I have 3 saltwater tanks all fish tanks. Tank 1 40gallon, aquaclear 110, seaclone skimmer, heater, top fin 50 power head in the tank I have 6 assorted Damsels, 2 osc clowns, 2 clarkie clowns. This tank is well est. with no water problems Tank 2 72gallon, aquaclear 110, magnum 350 pro canister with bio rings, seaclone skimmer, aquaclear 70 powerhead. fish are ,baby stars and stripe puffer, small niger trigger 5inches, baby picasso trigger, small bird wrasse, 2 osc clowns. est tank good water. I am putting my 110gallon together and wondering if I put 2 Aqueon 75's Rated at 90 gallons each, if that would be enough filtration. Have not yet decided on a skimmer or power head yet. I need suggestions. Right now it is filled up and running with one Aqueon 75 and a marineland rated at 40 gallons. I have live sand in my other tanks and went with white gravel for the 110 gallon. have not yet put in live rock except a 5 pound piece. I pefer hang on filters any help would be great. Thanks

Eh, hang on is great to a point and I don't like hang on the back skimmers. To much risk of overflow and perhaps the one place I want that gunk less than in my tank is on my floor. If you like the easy maintance you can still gain alot from a sump adn just run the HOB filter in that. I have a set up like this for my goldfish. It makes for a cleaner look. Plus if you set up for a sump you have alot more flexable room for growth. and you can make a workable sump out of a cheap glass tank.

Thought about a sump. But was really wondering if 2 aqueon 75's is enough filtration for the 110. Or maybe add a aquaclear110 along with the Aqueon75 I already have.

I will probally will have only 2 large fish in it. Naso tang and not too sure about the other yet. I will be putting in more live rock in a week or 2 prob 75lbs. Decided to go with 2 aquaclear 110 filters and a good skimmer.

yes, you're fine on filtration with your aquaclears..

if you want a pretty good HOB skimmer, look into Tunze DOC skimmers... they're actually an IN tank skimmer, but they'll rock that setup pretty good.. and they'll be quiet..
