So I have wanted to mount my Gyres top down so they didn't take up so much space right to left.

Gyres mounted from the side taking up too much space.

Gyres mounted from the top, less intrusive.

Here's how I did it...

Made a mount from some scrap acrylic, this is for the Gyre on the Right side of the tank. The left side was much easier since I had a flash wall made of acrylic I could glue 2 mounting tabs to.

The nylon screws mount through the aquarium rim, the acrylic is threaded.

nice project ... after this pandemic, we will have a lot of inventions out of this hobby.

Hey @dball711 sorry I haven't called you yet. The honey do list is huge since I'm "working from home" lol. She doesn't realize that I do have to work.

Very clever design Dave! Now I have to find my scrap acrylic to try and copy it! :D
