Hey guys! I'm starting up my 3rd tank, and want to take on the challenge of making a true mixed nano reef. I would love to see current photos of your nanos for inspiration and ideas.
So far I am working with a Nuvo fusion 10 gallon setup. I have an old AI Prime I don't use that I am going to slap on it. I already have base rock and pretty much everything else. All I need is to mix the water and start seeding.
Build idea from items I already own:
Nuvo Fusion 10
AI Prime HD
In tank media basket with: Matrix, filter floss
No skimmer. First I want to experiment with 30% weekly water changes
Cobalt Neotherm 50w
JBJ Nano glo for a possible fuge.
Sicce 1.5
Stock Idea which are still up in the air:
x1 pink streaked wrasse. (I haven't decided if this is ethical yet. They are tiny but TBD)
or
x1 possum wrasse.
I may do no fish at all. I do like the pygmy wrasses because they are probably the smallest utility fish out there.
I will be filling the tank tomorrow and kicking this project off. I'll start an official build thread, but first I would love input and recommendations.
