Ok tired of looking at this rats nest under my tank.

Please post pics of your under tank wiring...timers, powerstrips, permanent setups, etc.

Don't be shy....lets see it.:wow2:

I will post before and after pics once complete.

Thanks!

For what ever reason it seems I am frequently needing to unplug, move etc for maintenance. I have a 72" light on a stand above the tank and frequently remove for maintenance.

Looking for outlets that are permanent (along with a good way to mount timers) so that I can just plug/unplug fixtures, pumps, etc. as needed for maintenance.

Anyone with photos please share...looking for ideas. I know there are some good executions out there because I am sure many have dealt with this and figured it out.

Thanks!

Well dont try this at home...for the last month my wiring has been suspect..laying on the floor of my stand just waiting for an event to shut everything down...

No worries....solution to come...headed to Lowes...

I picked up a power strip...perfectly spaced 40" with ten outlets..perfect for timers and misc bulky items.

$30 for the GFI power strip
$4 for 1x6x48
$2 for misc wood screws

So for $36 total have a pretty nice setup that is organized and safe.

Added a second smaller strip on another circuit that has redundant return pump and heater.

Also plan to get some childproof plugs for the spare outlets to protect from splash and creep.

Printing labels and securing wires with ties and that shoudl wrap it up.

Comments welcome.
