Shrimp ID

Hey all,
A friend is breaking down his tank and is willing to give me this shrimp but he doesn't know what kind it is and neither do I. Any thoughts?

Snapping tiger shrimp? Looks a bit transparent..

i dont think its a pistol shrimp cause it doesn't have the large claw used to snap. i almost want to say peppermint or camel but the color makes me think otherwise. maybe its a type of marine ghost shrimp

Not a tiger pistol but more like a caribbean pistol shrimp, if so read up on them before you get a goby.:yes:

Both front claws are the same size though. It kind of looks like a banded shrimp but the front legs with the claws aren't as bowed and it is more brown than red.

Looks like a stressed/spooked peppermint (pretty much reef safe) or camel shrimp (pretty much not). Maybe put it in your sump or a breeder's basket?

ID would possibly be a bit easier with a side shot - the two shrimp look very similar without a profile.
