Sick Carpenters fairy wrasse

Help! He developed a sort of scab on the underside of his "neck" and there is some swelling under the scab, so it sticks out. I put two doses of Mardel in the tank and he seemed to be getting slightly better, but then he started hiding and would not come out to eat. Two days ago I put in some PraziPro. Today he came out and swam around looking disoriented, did not eat. I noticed that the scab was gone, but in its place was like an open sore that extended to the sides. Swelling still there. His body looks fine and he does not look emaciated. Does anyone know what this is? I cannot use copper based medications.

I'll try to take a pic when he comes out, but I doubt it is going to be very clear.

at this point i would try and quarantine him, maybe infection, maybe parasite, just throwing ideas out there. hopefully someone with better knowledge will step in here.
