Silencio por favor Filter Socks

I got tired of hearing the water trickle into my filter sock. I have two in my sump and decided to take the top of one of my salt buckets and make a silencer for the main drain. What do you think? Any ideas/problems you see?

Only issue I may see, I hate restricting supply..... Kinda like putting a ball valve on the drains..... But let me know how it does....

It's very quiet. My thought was if the first drain did backup the second drain would be able to handle the overflow. Even with the silencer in it still allowing all water from the overflow through the first filter sock.

I actually just extended my downpipe on my return so that it goes below the water line in the filter sock and the water noise is basically gone.
