Hey,

I have a 30 gallon JBJ rimless cube http://www.jbjlighting.com/prod-rimless.html">http://www.jbjlighting.com/prod-rimless.html</a> its on this page. I want to buy a skimmer that goes in the back so I don't have to drill my tank or use a hang on the back. I found these:

and wanted to know any opinions on it or if anyone has a better suggestion for me I'll take it :)

I've been told by a couple of people who really know that 30g is really too small for a skimmer. (I was asking because I too have a 30g.) They both recommended Purigen instead.

i thought about it being too small then i considered what harm can it do? is there something that would be detrimental?

I don&#8217;t know about too small, I had a 6g NanoCube with a Tunze 9002. Tunze fan here so thats my recommendation

The harm is just in laying out cash for something you don't need. I wouldn't think there would be anything else, though.

I did use this one, lots of skimmate, I sold mine since I had to get rid of my tank, otherwise I would had to keep it, they're similar to the bubble magus brand, they even use the same pump and they have the same body, the name of this are SC aquariums they have a nice price tough

Oh, my system was 25 display and this sump, around 35 to 40 gallons, medium load, sorry I couldn't save a pic where you could see the collection cup fill with darker stuff

Status: quo

I have the same tank. The Cadlights pls-50 fits and works pretty well.

sweet i was really looking for one that didn't require me to have an ATO, but was willing to get one since it would be handy. this one measures in at 15 inches, and our tanks right at 16, does anything poke out of the top or are you able to get it all fit in snuggly? did you put it in the center chamber?

I have mine in the left chamber (when facing tank). The cup does sit above the tank. An ATO is a must to get it dialed in. I am using (and loving) the Hydor smartlevel ATO.
