Set up my new (used) skimmer on Wed. evening. Since it was used it didn't go through a breakin period. I looked up the directions online and backed the air adjustment out four full turns as mentioned. It started creating foam almost immediately. I emptied the catch cup on Friday when I did my water change and cleaned the tank. What you see in the vid is after about 45 hours. My question is.....does this appear to be adjusted correctly? I really don't know what I am looking for as far as the adjustment goes so all help would be appreciated.

From what I can tell it looks fine. Let what the cup holds be your guide... if you are skimming too wet, it will fill up fast and the skimmate will be watery. Too dry and all the gunk will be in the neck. IMO what you want is the cup to slowly fill with dark skimmate.

Thanks guys. I don't have a ton of bio load so I didn't expect a very dark skimate nor a lot of it. Just wasn't too sure if what I was seeing was what I should be seeing.

As always, I really do appreciate the help and advice.
