Skimmer only producing bubbles and water.

My skimmer is just filling up with bubbles and water. I have been using it fine for months and it now is having this problem. I've tried raising it and taking the collection cup off and letting the bubbles flow freely but still no use. I did add an algae scrubber but that shouldn't mess the skimmer up since it's still in the process of building algae. I was curious if anyone has any suggestions. I do water changes weekly and have done this since the tank is up so I don't see how that could change randomly. Also I haven't cleaned it. I read that that produces bubbles.

See if the venturi, where the air goes in, needs to be cleaned.

These often get clogged up with calcium/gunk.

If after checking the venturi you're still having problems I'd ask if anything different happened in the house. Someone do some cleaning with aerosols, candles...?
One other thing is if this started immediately after putting the ATS on online there may have been some residue on/in it from manufacturing. Did you give it a good vinegar water rinse before hooking it up?

I hope it was the venturi and you all good after cleaning it!

Also, there could be hair algae or something else in the impeller.
