That depends. If it is a Venturi, and you can't pull the Venturi off the old pump, then you need one that also has one. Also, you need the right kind of impeller, either needle, pinwheel or similar. Return pumps generally have a different impeller that does not "chop" the bubbles.
If it's a feed pump, then yes, just buy a similar pump.
