I picked up a 120 gallon and I'm looking for a skimmer. I found a Bubble Magus Curve 7 (link below)

It's says the tank capacity is for 185gal - 240gal. The model below this curve 7 is only rated for 140gal.

Now here's my questions, with my added sump water volume, should I get the curve 7 or the smaller model? I don't want to get a skimmer that's to much for my system but then again I don't want to get one that's not enough for my system. What are your thoughts?

Who's had good experiences with Bubble Magnus?

I think it is better to go larger. There're several "rules of thumb" that suggest getting a skimmer rated for more than your actual water volume.

My vote is for the larger of the two.

It really depends on your bioload. Most skimmer stats are for a lighter bioload. I would go with the Curve 7.

If you can swing it... here's an option...
