I am trying to set up a sump for my 75g and I'm trying to determine what the baffle heights should be. I have a Reef Octopus NWB-110 skimmer. The manual says "Water level in sump should be 6”-10” as long as it is not covering the water outlet pipe." It measures 7.5 inches to the bootom of the outlet pipe which is 1.5 inch diameter. Why would they say 6-10 inch if the outlet isn't that high? Is anybody using this skimmer that can offer some advice?

I know there has got to be someone out there that is using either a NWB-110 or NWB-150 skimmer that can tell me how they have their baffle heights set up.

I have the nw 200 and my water is around 10 inches. If you want to go higher you can just make a pvc stand for it to sit on. Remember to check your levels when the power goes out to see how much room you have. Ime reef octopus skimmers aren't super sensitive to water levels as long as it doesn't change constantly. Good luck
