My css220 is quite a PITA being 25" tall making it hard to maintane among keeping the water leve just perfect..anyone know of a better one that they might have laying around thats not so tall that they are willing part with or cut a deal on??...No room for an ATO... already though of that...

Can you drop in a baffle to keep the water level for the skimmer consistent and have the evap occur in the return area? I couldn't tell by your build thread what was already there. Of course that may require the skimmer to be lifted a bit which may not be possible.

Definitely understand your pain, I have to build my sump cabinet 40 inches high for the 24 inch high octopus :boo:

Nope..thought of that...The skimmer is just to tall..hoping to find one that is more suited to my size, running a 220 on a 120 in kinda insane...looking for a recirc...

I have a DND terminator II skimmer laying around. I thought it did a good job at pulling out muck from my 180. The only reason I changed was I got the MRC skimmer.

I posted it in the For Sale section once upon a time but someone else was trying to sell theirs and I didn't want to go into a price war.

Here's the specs

It is 24" tall, but you don't need to take off the top like a normal skimmer to emtpy, it drains to a collection bucket (i used a salt bucket)

Here's my post, it has a fuzzy cell phone pic.

They have a sumpless kit. The instructions almost give you enough info to build it yourself.
