How long is it OK to go without a skimmer running I generally keep it on 24 7 currently looking for another thanks

it really depends on your bio load/water changes and how much you are feeding. if you up the amount of water changes on your tank and don't over feed you will be fine. I don't even run a skimmer on my main tank so its all a matter of your individual system
