I think I know this answer but I need to ask away any who...

I have a 36 tall cube. I have a Prism Deluxe skimmer rated up to 100 gallons and a skimmer on a aquafuge cpr bakbak.

Both of these have been running on the 36 for 2 days now. the prizm of skimmed the majoritie but hardly nothin will come out of the aquafuge. What IS coming out of the Prism is not even junk.

The tank is unbelievably crystal clear...could it be theres nothing left to skim??

Is it possible that theres too much skimming going on? If this is the case can it be a "bad" thing?

Thanks for answering dumb questions

I know a few ppl that run 2 euros, a couple that run 2 ASM's.. I have heard you CAN'T overskim, but I don't know from exp. Just what I have heard

You are no where near over skimming IMO. You could add a Rouge HOB skimmer http://www.bermudaaquatics.com/rogue.htm">http://www.bermudaaquatics.com/rogue.htm</a> on your tank and it would most likely shut down the other 2 skimmers. And it would likely pull a bit more DOCs than the other 2 combined. (That mostly depend on the Bio load of your system, feeding habits, #of fish,...)

That said, I do believe you can get a skimmer that is "to big" for a tank. I don't think a "To big" will "over skim" it Will just be to big. The main problem with skimmers that are "to big" is, You'll have to skim very wet to remove waste.
