So upgraded to this from a reef octopus 150 I could never get good skim from. Admittedly I'm running this on a 80g system but it's going on a 150 in process can I just say this thing is amazing. The gate style tuning is easy and precise. Running an oversized DC pump is a great feature with a feed mode. Check it out.
Picture is a week of skim. Super stinky.

Thanks. I just set up a new to me sca-302 rated for 180g on my 35g tank. I'm going to get results like yours.

So in the beginning skims was getting negative reviews bc of some cheaply made parts... Have they got it together now?

i can only compare to what i have used but so far I'm getting a constant skim, fit and finish seems great thick acrylic, they could have used titanium screws pulls an awesome amount of air and I'm not running the pump at full speed which to me is a plus. i definitely prefer this my my reef octopus. also having the oval design leaving more space in my sump seems like an added bonus at no cost to performance.
i was recommended this skimmer by a friend he uses it on a 120, id have no problem recommending it.
