Slurp Gun

I keep thinking about how I could build some kind of a suction device, or slurp gun, that would just suck bubble algea and whatever else right up.

Wonder if I could narrow my shop vac tube down enough to get a line on it and then use it carefully as a vacuum???

Any thoughts????/

I just used airline tubing and a tupperware container on the floor. I did have to use a long flathead to pry them a bit, but the tubing collected everything I pulled off

I took a very very rigid plastic straw, and carved the tip down to a point. Then I attached the rest to airline tubing. Since it was so rigid, I could scrap with it, but the point was also very sharp for piercing and immediately sucking up bubble algae.
