This is my tank so far. It’s been setup for about 3 weeks now and I went to the local pet shop and got a little piece of live rock and a small domino damselfish on the owners advice. He said I can take him back and exchange it for another less aggressive fish once I’m ready to add more. For the filter I took out the stock basket and added seachem matrix carbon, purigen, and matrix biomedia. 56F33D9E-DB37-4F0B-80EE-9D88935C38B9.jpegDB527154-24E7-4787-A27D-DAE7BB2DE0F3.jpeg

Good start, looks great so far. I love how the smaller tanks look. Can add just a little bit and they are already where a bigger tank is.

Today I went to GHC exotics in Cleveland. (Same distance from Gainesville as Nemo Aquarium is and I wanted to see what they had) I picked up some more live rock because the tank seemed a bit bare and a little zoanthiad frag and what I think is a Montipora. (Correct me if I’m wrong) The nightlights are on right now. The Zoas opened up in less than an hour.

Nice start, that kinda looks like a chalice but I'm just starting to get chalices and montiporas as well so who knows. The chalice I got was starting to get white at the bottom of my tank so I moved it under a rock where there's shade and it's popping off. Great start, it's addicting!!

That's what it is! Thanks so much!

Is brown algae still good algae? A lot just started growing in my tankabour 2 days ago. I look it up online and it says it’s a sign the tank is done cycling. Just making sure.

I took the damsel back to the store and went to Nemo aquarium yesterday and got a Wyoming white clown and a snowflake clown. There seems to be a lot of brown algae is that just because of the cycling?
