Okay guys I just found a small snail/slug with what appears to be a small flat red shell on top of it. What is it and is it reef safe? If anyone knows please tell me. After the week I have had dont want anything else go wrong with the tank!

Hmmm right.
May want to seperate it and see what it grows into
If not send it to me.

I googled stomatella and it strongly resembles it. Are they reef safe? By the way thanks for all the info!

Yep that is it! And thanks so much!:D

stomatella release eggs in the tank very often. Fish love em and I suppose corals do too. Ive read they wont overtake the tank tho. I had one on a powerhead and nudged it to get it to move and it did that "split off its tail" thing.
