This is the 3rd hatch this year. Hundreds only 25 to 30 make it each hatch. It is the small one on the left.

Do you do anything to promote this or does it just happen in your tank? I just get the little half snails, not as pretty but I presume they do the same work for cleaning

I do not do anything they just hatch. The new hatch is pin head size.

Are your snails are caribbean (sp?) cerinth snails?

I had several hundred tiny (1mm) caribbean cerinths in my system until a mishap with a controller killed most of mine.

Yep. I thought I was seeing things since I thought my aragronite sand was moving slowly upstream. It took looking through a magnifying glass to confirm that they were caribbean cerith baby snails!

Edit: If anyone wants to trade some snails let me know. (snail for snail) These burrow all in the sand. I have some that are about an inch long.

are you sure thats what they are? How many adults are in the tank? I need some pics of the adults. I may pick up another fighting conch if this is indeed the case.

Edit: do they have a long elephant like nose-snout, and two really long eyes like periscopes. I still would like to see some pics. I don't think you would be calling them snails if they are conchs, they look extremelly differant. It would be cool if thats what they really are. Lemme know I might take some bro.
