I guess I need to call marineland and get my stealth pro's exchanged for the visa-therms....I hope you get everything figured out. Glad I read through this thread to see that it was a cracked heater throwing stray voltage.

Multimeter set to AC Volts.
Place red probe in water, black probe to a known ground (such as the round "3rd" pin of an outlet... the cover plate screw is grounded too, but the paint can interfere with getting good contact).
