Looking for input on what to look for. I am going to the beach soon and want to do some snorkeling. I want to start diving when I go back to work. Any tips on what to look for and where? Thanks, Lee

Divers Supply locally will probably have the best deal price wise. You can try Leisurepro.com or ScubaToys.com (10% discount if you join their forum and a $10 coupon after ten posts) for good online deals. Mask is pretty personal so buy one that fits well. Snorkel, I am a big fan of the Oceanic Ultra Dry for snorkeling and the Oceanic Pocket for diving. Fins... I would start with the Oceanic Caribe X full foot if all you are going to do is snorkel. They are cheap, light and will pretty much out maneuver/out speed most open heel fins out there. If diving is in your future, go with an open heel. Aeris Mako is a nice fin for the money and if you have the budget the Mares Avanti or the Tusa Zoom splitfin is nice.

Thanks guys. Finally a response from somewhere. Yes I do plan on diving at some point, provided I find a job before the world ends. Probably go to Diver's Supply sometime before I head down to the beach. Looks like they have some good package deals. Just don't want to end up with crap.
