So a while back something bad happened, and I lost a lot of sps tissue. I'm still not sure what it was, but I feel it was a combination of a few things. I wanted to show a few pics of some recovering corals.

I believe my near crash was due ... mostly... to super low nutrients combined with pests. There were no spikes ... nothing immediately evident .

Things are good now... but a while back it was...
quite sad.
Really. I'm weird because I look at corals as pets haha... the flesh was just blowing right off

My next step is to find a great deal on some frags I guess...
No hurry

I believe I had some aefw, although I could never physically locate them.
They've been eliminated w an extended dose of dog meds.
I also tested and my no3 was undetectable... not good for already stressed corals

aefw can be killed with dog meds now? or did you mean red bugs and interceptor?

It's pests like those that make me apprehensive to do sps, especially expensive ones.

That's what Bayer coral dip is for.

You may have a perfect record so far. But ..... eventually something WILL get through if you keep sps long enough.

That's fair. But if you are bayer dipping, removing frag plugs, and glueing to new ones... chances of AEFW or Red Bugs entering is pretty low.

It definitely improves chances I agree
