So im used to having one or MAYBE two aquarium stores in town to look through...but with so many I dont know where to start! and since I live in Athens I cant make trips to atlanta all the time to look through different stores.

so...

which stores carry a good selection of corals, primarily SPS? how about clams? Im looking for a bit of everything but getting lots of great looking SPS (i dont care if the frags are tiny, I prefer small frags since I have a nano) but they need to be omfg awesome!

thanks guys, good to be here!

Definitely Pure Reef. They have immaculate systems and IMO prices aren't bad.

Agreed... PureReef has some excellent corals in stock generally. Rit always has nice pieces too. Havent really been to many of the other stores in a while. Marine Reef and Marine Designs have big coral systems.

Atlanta Aquarium is really easy to get to from athens and they have a very nice selection of sps. Nemo is also close too, great fish selection!

Edit: BTW, lets see some pics of your tank!

there is a store in athens with good prices and selection, I dont know if im allowed to say the name bc they are not an arc sponsor but a quick google search will find it.

My tank isn't quite as blue as the pictures make it seem, I run LEDs so digital pics are always a little off.

I was actually just at the store in Athens, its fairly nice but I already took the two best pieces of coral in the store =P and since Im so close to Atlanta I think I have to take advantage of the selection. The store in Athens had some nice fish (indeed a few I will HAVE to take home once my 75 is up and running again) but I wasnt overly impressed with their selection of corals. other than the blue acro and the pink chalice I picked up the only other corals that I was interested in were some bali green slimers but they were growing some algae unfortunately.

thanks for the responses...and now eye candy!

Nice!!! You can probably pick up really nice pieces on here too. Just a couple of the top of my head are raz0945(?), Mysterybox and lilrob. There are plenty more but I know their stuff.
Marine designs and the Aviarium usually carries some nice pieces as well.

Those pieces are really great, i LOVE the acro and cant wait for it to grow out (and btw if anyone knows what it is that would be great), and the chalice seems to be enjoying itself nicely.

I will certainly be looking for something like an idaho grape monti cap, a good bali slimer, more blue acros of different kinds, something like a purple and green acro, some ricordea and eventually a maxima thats already 2"' or so. get any of these and i know about it and it wont be there for long!

(btw i need some cheato)

the tank is doing quite nicely, ive recently set up a skimmer, more filtration media and an ATO and the tank seems quite happy as a result. once i get some cheato growing out and a better pod population it will be time to get a mandarin!:yay:
