Well, I have started my venture into a somewhat of a reef/fish mix... I know what I am getting myself into. I just need some help with determining what exactly is considered low-medium-high flow and low-medium-high lighting.
okay so 2 koralia 4's at roughly 1200gph would mean you are turning your tank over roughly 13.5 times an hour, should be sufficient for a mixed reef. as far as lighting unless you are going to go with some very high light requiring corals t5's would be fine for most corals.
The skimmer is a marineland advanced. For more flow, would you suggest an additional k4? As for the lightining I am working to upgrade the ballasts to something higher. The 175w is what came with the tank when I purchased it.
I currently have 3 K4's in my tank did have 4 of them but a snail smoked one of them..
About to get rid of all but one and add a Vortech Mp40 to try and squeeze more flow in the tank..
Batwing reflectors are alright but are going to bleed alot of light from back and front, Might want to look into a better reflector.. I swapped my 2 batwings for Lumanmax Elite ones and it was made a HUGE difference..
As for the pump, I cannot remeber off the top of my head, I will take a look when I get home and post. The guy gave it to me when I purchased the tank.
