Something on my hammers

Just noticed this thing growing on the side of my hammer and it looks to have moved towards the rock work as well. Any idea what this is? It doesn’t look like it moves, Just grows. The picture was taken before the lights come on.

Harmless. If it is irritating the coral you can i guess.

Ive never removed any sponges. Never had a problem with them
