Ok so as some of you know, I had an episode last week where my 4 year old started going on a killing spree of the fish in our aquarium. She thought they needed salt, so she added more... a starfish, snails, and a fish died, which is how I found out she had done this. Well, a few days after this, she decided the fish were hungry, and fed them almost half a container of pellets. SO, I changed half of the water last week and checked the levels and they were ok. I found one my damsels dead yesterday, and my levels were off so I did a 30% water change last night. I checked the levels after the change and all were perfect.

NOW I wake up this morning and find my cleaner shrimp is dead  He molted last night and seemed fine after???? What in the world is going on with my system????? I think I need to find someone to house my fish until I can get a handle on this because this is driving me crazy and my husband is pissed because all of the money I spent on these fish is going down the drain....or literally down the toilet :(

After a shrimp molts they are even more sensitive until their shell hardens up I believe

what do you have that need housing? and what size?

Where is your SG at right now? did you check it after the water change? is the ammonia gone yet? did you ever get some Prime?

SG is at 0.123. The ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates are all 0. I took a sample of water to the LFS and their readings said my ph was very low so they think that was the problem. I added some ph buffer and was told to add a little for the next few days. I just hope I can continue to maintain these levels because now everything is finally perfect. I just don't know what to do because every time I get stuff right, something goes wrong! :yuk:
