Looking for some advice from the SPS experts. I have a 250 gallon that has been set up since the begining of January, and I wanted all of your opinions on If I'm ready to add more SPS (acros, etc.).
Lighting is (2) gen 3 radion pros and (6) 60" t5s that run for 3 hours a day
My water parameters as of the 25th are:
Calcium 500
Alkalinity 8dkh
Mag 1380
Nitrates 2ppm

I've added a few SPS birdsnest, red planet, digitata, and a green acro. Everything has been in for 2 months except the green acro that was added on the 6th of July.
Here are a few pics
1st is the green acro

How do those acros look? That would be a tell tell sign of your ready for more. I don't think three hours with lights on is near enough. Mine run 12 hours per day.

Sorry, the LEDs are on longer, the t5s only run three hours

Is two LEDs enough light to cover that tank? I would think 6 hours on the t5s would be my routine.

Are those mp 40 or 60. Imo you need more lighting with that tank being 36 wide. Around the edges of the light you are losing the par. Also if those 2 wavemaker is all you have I'd also so you will need more flow.

They are mp40s

Probably enough light. The sand doesn't need any par to survive :). I think extending the t5s you would be happier. But your sps look fine to me so far.

Ok I might start bumping it up and hour or so.

What means do you have now to keep your alk and Ca stable on that size tank you have (reactor, dosing etc)? Considering you'll add more frags and in the long run the demand would be more.

I will be adding a calcium reactor later down the road, but I'm currently manually dosing
