Who Stacks rock on back of giass.I never have done it, but seen tanks that did.I like how it looks. Thanks for any info.

If I were to stack on the back...I'd probably do some kind of a board with the rock glued to it and use magnets to hold it in place. Something like hardiplank or cement backer board. This way it's removable without a huge fuss.

I had rock stacked on my glass for a while. I placed a powerhead on each side of the tank blowing between the rock and the glass the best it could. The flow helped (didn't eliminate) the detrius build up...

When I re-scaped, I placed as little rock as possible against the back glass...

I saw a product at Creation that was sort of a background aquascape that was held in place using magnets. It was 3d and had several patterns. I believe they use it around the center return on their main display. Is looked extremely realistic.

I've always stacked on the back wall. Detritus is detritus. I don't care how much flow you have, you will still end up with crap in/on/under/around SOME rocks. That's just how life works. Obviously you can (and should) try to minimize that through good random flow, but you will never remove all of it.

Thanks.Thats the info i needed. Both my tanks are free standing rock.I think if i get my new tank[180],I will do the same.

I agree, good flow will help keep it in the watercolumn but eventually it will settle (hopefully in my prefilter...). I have also stacked on the back wall but now I prefer free standing structures, I have small tanks.
