Stand build

Well… a few weeks ago I was ready to hang it up after 17 years or so, but this weekend I bought a new tank… right?
MUCH smaller tank… should be less stress hahaha (mmhmmm)
Anyway…I’ll need a stand
So today I picked up some 2xs and started
Step one.
Run them ALL through my planer so the edges are nice and square

well.. this is on hold.. vendor didn't have the tank in stock i ordered

Maybe see if they can match it, or the discount?

I’m an amateur luthier so thus the shop. Been building for about 5 years working on acoustic number 23 !

We've used a similar design for our display/frag tank stands & bar. I'm curious is there an advantage to using the smaller blocks on the corners instead of just tripling up the 2x4s?

Now to stain / poly then trim to cover any seams

Inside is sprayed w rubber coating to waterproof it.
