Alright, so my stand that came with my tank is made of black MDF and looks like with my hardwood floors, and deep brown cabinets in the room its in. Just doesnt fit well, and doesnt offer room for expansion like a sump or anything like that. I would like to build one, anyone have any plans or anything?

Maybe have some shelves on the edges of it? Make it look classy and functional?

Id like to have a false panel on the back with a power strip behind it to plug all my stuff into. that way it looks clean and not have everything laying everywhere like it is now. I only want to do this once, the tank as it is full... any suggestions on how to avoid emptying everything.

Alternitivley, since my tank hasnt cycled yet, would it behoove me to find someone to house my one and only fish temporarily (i know, i shouldnt have it yet, please dont chew me out), empty the tank after i build this and cycle the tank properly?

The tank i have is http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3804465&lmdn=Fish+Aquariums+%26amp%3B+Bowls">http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3804465&lmdn=Fish+Aquariums+%26amp%3B+Bowls</a>

id also like to get some decent lighting fixed into this while im at it...

How much do you guys usually spend on something like this.... Or even a basic stand that you made. IE: Materials cost. Is it feasable to just do a basic stand for a hundred dollars?

its clown that petsmart said i should go get after i set my tank up and made sure the salinity was correct for 24 hrs, so i did.... then i started googling after i had alrady bought the fish on how to acclimate, then the "Oh my God, i made a BIG mistake" thought kicked into my mind.... Anyway. If he doesnt make it i will be sad, and 18 dollars will be down the drain but so far he is healthy, and still swimming and eating like a pig.
