Starfish question

Howdy. So I have had these starfish before a long time ago. I believe it was also at a time when I had just setup the tank like now. I believe the last time this happened (years ago) they disappeared after a while.

What exactly are they and is there a way to keep them around this time?

Also, I seem to only be able to post in this forum section. This topic may have made more sense elsewhere but I didn't have that choice.

the starfish you are talking about are called astrina starfish. i think they are scavengers and will eat most types of fish food you put in the tank. as far as how/why they disappeared there is no way to know but they might have starved out. and the reason you cant post in some sections is because they are restricted to only paid members
