i just found a baby starfish in my tank with 7 legs

its smaller than a dime and white..i only have green serpents dont know where it came from buy never seen anything like it....what are the odds it that common to see

Sounds a bit like an Asterina Star. They are not bad. If it is, they will not grow very large.

+1 Asterina. They reproduce by fission so you will probably find more -some have long and short legs as they regenerate from splitting.

Harmless for the most part. There's one specie that's harmful to corals but I've only ever seen them in books. I've seen hundreds of the harmless kind.
