Strange critter tank

Has anyone on here set up a tank focused on "strange" critters. I'm not talking about a tank focused on one creepy critter like a mantis shrimp, I'm referring more about a weird macro algae, crab infested critter tank.

If anyone has a "strange" set up, please post links or pics so I can be inspired. When I say strange I am talking about the opposite of your normal pretty fish, pretty coral setup.

I have a huge green brittle star (12") that would go great in someone's tank like that. He live in my sump because he will eat fish. The kids like to feed him because he's so aggresive.
