I did a 2 gallon water change on my tank today to get ready for some new corals that are coming tomorrow. When I went to put my two gallons of water back into the tank I grabbed a gallon of RO water instead of the saltwater. Luckily I noticed before I dumped the whole gallon in, but my SG still dropped from 1.024 to 1.021. Is it better to bring the SG back up quickly or use Saltwater for top off over the next few days? I guess I need to label my gallon jugs better.

Thanks. I just did another gallon water change and upped the SG of the new saltwater by a little. My tank is back up to 1.023, so I will just top off with saltwater for a day or so and just keep an eye on it.

Yep. I would have added some salt to the sump and bumped it right back up.

Agreed with the salt in the fuge. Low salinity for prolonged periods can really harm a lot of SPS. Short durations likely do nothing more than irritate some critters in the tank. Putting it in the return section is a good way to mix it in.
