Stupid Question

Yes. KH is abbreviated German (Karbonatharte, I believe) and the "d" is for "degrees".

That is what I thought, but now I am confused on my Alk tests. I got a new API test today. The date on the label shows it was made in Dec. of '07. I tested three times and all three times I came up w/22KH. I then tested w/my Seachem test and it came up w/4meq/l or just over 11dKH both times. Both are high, but my API results seem way too high. My Calcium is at 400 (Elos test), Mag is 1200 (Elos test), pH 8.1 (Elos), PO4 0-.01 (Elos), Nitrates 0.2 (Salifert), Nitrite 0 (API), and Ammonia 0 (API). Should I be worried about my Alk test results? Everything in the tank looks great.

not to disagree with George or anything... ok I won't... he is right.
