ok so not sure if this should go in "the lounge" or in "diy" because technically .....I did do it myself.

Thought I should post something of me and my father putting my 12'' inch JL audio sub in the back of my jeep. The other speakers are NEW kicker KS5250's, and A new JVC head unit(KD-HDR20). I routed the power cable for the sub through the fuse box and put a new fuse(dedicated to the sub) in the fuse box. This is a cleaner way of going about this , than having a random fuse in my engine compartment. I also do not have to worry about any corrosion on a connector that would have been on the battery terminal. feel free to ask questions

I took my 2 JL 15s out of my truck because I was having hearing problems at 18. Ringing, hours of silence, etc...

Nice clean install!

i don't have it turned up very much at all . like the comtrols on my head unit go up to 10 and i have it on 2

Are you sure that power wire is big enough? I have a 500 watt JL mono sub amp and ran 4 AWG power wire and felt that was a minimum. JMO It looks very clean though!

it's 10 gauge. the maunal says 10gauge or higher, my dads an Electrical engineer , i trust what he did

Haha, I guess I'd trust him.

I remember having to run the 0g and drill a hole in the bottom of my truck to run the wire into the cab. Fun times.

it also is not that big of an amp( less than 30 amps power draw) and the sub is no that big either i think 360 watts...i think

my amp has two 20 amp fuses on it. my dad had the same set up in his little mazda protege when he had that car and it worked great
