Substrate selection with MP40wES's?

Also, I have Tahitian Moon Sand (in a bucket) and it is not magnetic. Are you sure you are not confusing that with a brand called Nature's Ocean? Their balck sand is magnetic.
That's great to hear! I guess I am confusing it with Nature's Ocean. Let me know if you wanna get rid of that bucket too!

Another point to consider as far as color selection goes. I've read, and it would make sense, that using black substrate makes the tank much darker. The black absorbs the light while the white sand reflects it. I'm already nervous that my 2 AI's won't be enough for the tank and I'll need a third. (Or even fourth!)

If you are getting a vortech, don't get Fiji pink either! My sand gets blown around just from my return pump!

I'm going bare bottom on my new setup. I had the Caribsea Hawaiian Black and I love it. Although with whatever substrate you go with you will have some kind of movement. It just happens. Especially with vortechs. In the end you want a heavier substrate that wont be as easy to cause a sand storm and also what looks the most appealing to you in the long run. Take a look around and see what looks best to YOU.
