Has anyone ever kept a Sea Apple for an extended period of time? I have kept one successfully for a year and then had to trade him because I tore down the tank he was in. The Sea Apple always had its feeder tentacles out and the tank he was in had been set up for a year prior to adding him.
I don't encourage keeping any inverts or fish that have proven difficult to maintain for extended periods of time in captivity, but I would like some feedback if anyone has had success or if they're tanks actually suffered any ill effects from the Sea Apples everting their insides and causing die off.
This is a pretty cool article that describes their husbandry and explains how they can impact your reef. I've attached it because I think these are fascinating creatures that always catch our attention and that should be researched thoroughly if you decide to keep one.
