I have seen so many tanks ruined by using magnetic frag racks and have always wondered why no one uses suction cups instead? I printed a few for my tank and have tested them for 2 months now with no issues and just wondered why everyone risk magnets in their tanks?

Because the suction cups eventually get hard and brittle. I love the magnetic racks but yes you do have to keep an eye on them for rust etc... I have been using reefing art frag rack for a while now with no issues

Agreed above.
We also have a lot of magnets in the tanks - powerheads, algae scrapers, pumps, etc. Its the DIY guys that usually don't have the knowledge/experience to make lasting products

I could see that. I tried an Eshopps frag rack and feeder and both split open and rusted in my tank so i've attempted to get rid of most of the magnets in my tank.
