In my new set up. My sump is a MRC 36 inch reef sump. (I bought it used) The sump has a float valve for a ATO.
My question is Would you plumb the ATO unit right into that? Would you trust it to turn off and not flood? Or I have a Acrylic 12x12x18 that was some kind of sump. Very well built. (with a top) 11.22 gallons. Would you plumb the RODI into the 12x12 tank and then use http://www.autotopoff.com/">http://www.autotopoff.com/</a> to pump into the sump? I also have a solenoid that I could put in line of the rodi on a timer. So it will only cut on a few times a day. Or could even put it on another ATO so it will only come on when the ATO tells it to. (I have 2 of the auto top units)

Thank you Bruce

I wouldnt but other people may..

my ATO is designed to be filled up 1X a week.. that's about all the automation that I want built into the system..

I wouldn't want to ignore something for longer than that.. that's how accidents happen (full automation)..
