sump for non-drilled tank

You would use a siphon type overflow box.

If done correctly, they can be used successfully (I did).

Some don't like them because if the siphon ever breaks, you can have a flood. (just an fyi there)

Here is a great web page that helped me figure it all out. I used this as a guide when I built my own overflow box.

If you are interested in doing your own, you can find my build thread at [IMG]http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=63007">http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=63007</a>. Eagle 9252 also built a nice one if you want to check out his build thread.

+1, I have one of these. (Should have remembered it too) They work great at the proper flow.

I use an overflow box on my 92 Corner as it was not a drilled tank either. I have never had the siphon break unless I stopped it myself.

I have been wondering if it could be done. I have been thinking about slowing adding on to my 125-gallon without having to drill. Thanks for the info and additional ideas.
