does it qualify as a water change when you come home and the power has went out and your floor is flooded. i came home to see my floor in the living room with about an inch of water in it and flowing into the kitchen. evidently when the power went out my pump did not come back on in my return but my skimmer pump kept goin. thankfully my whole house is tile so all i had to do was mop up and refill with some aging saltmwater.

Happened to me, but in my bedroom and on CARPET :yuk:. NOT nice. I had a back siphon issue. Thank you Thank you JT for coming to my rescue with a drill!

And yes.....a water change is a water change....I think it counts twice when its unexpected and a bit messy :D.

Yes, it definitely counts. Bummer!

What kind of skimmer do you have and how do you have it plumbed?
