Supplement LED's with VHO?

I'm toying with the thought of supplementing my AI's with VHO instead of getting another AI unit. Of course, the opposite has been done countless times supplementing with LED's on MH. But, I've not seen supplementing done on a LED primary lighting setup before. Wondering if anyone has seen or done this?

I wouldn't do it necessarily for PAR. I've got that. It would be done to give a different light spectrum and appearance to my corals. I'm starting the research on the possibility now. Don't know if I would run 2 or 4 bulbs. Maybe just a couple actinic or mix of actinic and daylight.

I know what I'm asking may be asking for trouble from those firmly planted in one camp or the other. So, please, no debate on just adding more LED's or ditching them all together. I'm sure the first guy to start supplementing his wonderful MH's with VHOs was looked at a little strangely.

exactly my plan too, I have the ballast already just looking for some bulbs and a way to hang them in there (clips?)

I have been thinking of doing it with actinic 03 (420 nM) bulbs, because LED's don't have any output in that part of the spectrum.

It not only looks nice, but has been shown to give a big boost to growth, for years.
