Switching Salt

I have a box of Reef Crystals that I got from a guy that was moving and taking down his tank. I'd like to use it, but its not the brand I started with. Is the main concern with switching salt the chemistry?
My tank is new, there is only a small leather, some zoa frags and mushrooms in it along with 2 clowns and a Sailfin Tang. nNothing, I don't think, that would be overly sensitive to trace element level changes.
Would it be OK to use this salt, or should I stick with what I started with?

You won’t notice a difference using the reef crystals. I would generally try to pick a brand and use it but I would not hesitate to use this brand especially since your tank is new and you have soft corals.

When I change salts, I usually try to mix is 50/50 for the first water change or two. I don't know how much of a difference it really makes but that's the way it was suggested to me a long time ago and it's always worked well. I use Reef Crystals but sometimes get different salts given to me and in those circumstances I'll use it up by mixing it in with my go-to brand. I mean, I'll put them together and just use it up.
