I cannot get the old wiring out of my t-5 end cap..I am replacing dead cheap ballast with Ice CAp 660 and I cannot get the old wiring out of end caps. Any easy way other than pulling it straight out?
Different gauge wire as the ice caps are much heavier duty. I figured it out. I top the black part out in the middle of the end cap and punched the release mechanism on each wire and they popped right out. I have them all out and am wiring with the new wire.
What kind of endcaps? I know icecaps can be disassembled to remove the wire. Look closely and you'll figure it out. Be careful, as it has a little spring pressure in it and will pop apart.
You need a pick. Their are 2 little holes in the end caps. You put the pick in the little tiny hole and push down and the metal piece will release the wire. Congrats of figuring it out. I just wanted to be a tad more specific for others.
