what diferent colors t5's do for the reef??? like pink, red, green, and actinic??? what are the benefits??? or it's just cosmetic????

Actinics show the beautiful colors of the corals. The Midday gives the sunshine for the corals. There also the pinks in between. A good combo will give you growth along with the beauty.

There are daylight bulbs and supplemental bulbs. Most of your midday, 10k, 11k and 14k colorations are going to be your daylight sequence. The fiji purples, 420nm actinic and your 460nm blue actinics are more of a color rendering for your livestock.

Best thing I have found, is to run a 2:1 ratio of daylight and supplemental. EG: If you run 2 10k bulbs then run 4 supplemental bulbs along with it. If your running a more SPS dominated tank the do 1:1. It mostly depends on what colors you like and what you have in your tank.
