I know a lot of you pictured in your minds little shrimp doing biking the Tour de France. But I was wondering if anyone has cycled their tank using the table/cocktail shrimp method.

I did about 10 years ago... but there is really no need to. A bit of flake food and some live rock is really all you need.

how long did you leave the shrimp in? I am using this method. The ammonia is running about 2.0. also nitrites are high. I have had shrimp in since Friday.

Basically you just want to introduce bacteria. Once it starts breaking down I would think that you can remove it.

I pulled the shrimp. I am sick. The smell was ghastly. I have never smelt anything close to that. I will never eat shrimp again. Well maybe
