Tangs with Streamers

I was just cruising through and found James S. Naso with streamers. GORGEOUS animal, James!

Do all Naso's eventually get streamers or is it specific ones only? What determines streamer or no streamer? Age? Sex? Variation? Luck of the draw?

I'm asking because I've got a Naso, he's about 5"-6" with no streamers in sight. He is one of my favorites, he is active and just a good lookin' guy, his color is nice and even, not muddled or overly dark. Just curious if there maybe streamers in our future.

Ok....define LARGE and is there anyway of sexing the Naso?

I have usually only seen streamers on Naso that were over 6 inches

lol....Yeah, if the tang gets streamers, I can easily sex HIM, BUT.....he doesn't or she doesn't have streamers as of yet. Is there any other way of determining the sex of the Naso?
